Located on the Zambezi River, Thorntree River Lodge offers luxurious rooms with thatched verandas and beds draped in mosquito nets. It has lush gardens with an outdoor pool and a river cruise boat.
The rooms feature modern African décor with features such as exposed beamed ceilings and stone walls. Each has a private outdoor shower and views of the river. They are equipped with a fan, coffee machine and minibar.
Meals are served daily at the large table in the restaurant, and in warmer weather guests can dine outside. Private dining can also be arranged upon request. There is also a bar which serves a variety of cold drinks.
The Thorntree offers a variety of outdoor activities including walks with lions in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and Masuwe Estate, rainforest hikes and helicopter flights. Guests can also go canoeing, abseiling and bungee jumping.
